So the O2 sensor isn't a player. I see you have replaced the Coolant Temp Sensor as well. Mine has developed this issue as well and is slow to start has new Battery and a new starter and new fuel filter some new plugs and wires but no new coil packs yet. I'm just dealing with it by warm garage for now. | | | 11-21-2012, 02:59 AM | #19 | Member Join Date: Nov 2012 Location: Honolulu, Hi Posts: 53 | Yea, it doesn't read it till its warm. That's what is making me think it may be a fuel pressure issue. That would also explain the slight backfire I got a few times. Its definitely dumping so much fuel it can't run and high fuel pressure explains it. I won't have time to really mess with it till this weekend but I'm going through the rest of the fuel system saturday and if its nothing there I'll be about at my wits end. At least I have a nice breeze and warm days to work on it. | | | 11-21-2012, 03:02 AM | #20 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Globally Posts: 1,162 | I was just out there last week, think I saw maybe one Ti in the 5 day I was at Hickam. | | | 11-21-2012, 03:07 AM | #21 | Member Join Date: Nov 2012 Location: Honolulu, Hi Posts: 53 | There's very few out here. Knock sensor playing up telling DME there is high level detonation retarding ign timing? Im sorry im just throwing anything that comes to mind as and when i do think of them i do hope it gets fixed. | | | 11-21-2012, 03:51 AM | #23 | Member Join Date: Nov 2012 Location: Honolulu, Hi Posts: 53 | Would one sensor acting up do that? I did notice one of the times it ran long enough I revved it past 4k and the check engine light came on but went off when I let off the gas. It didn't store any codes though. Does anyone know how many degrees the computer can retard the timing? | | | 11-21-2012, 03:45 PM | #24 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2012 Location: Northwest Posts: 28 | Could you make a short video while the engine doing that? It would help a lot of us to troubleshoot it. | | | 11-21-2012, 04:06 PM | #25 | Member Join Date: Nov 2012 Location: Honolulu, Hi Posts: 53 | I probably can. It only runs for about 2-3 seconds if at all though. | | | 11-21-2012, 06:48 PM | #26 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Fiji Posts: 169 | Awaiting video upload sir | | | 11-21-2012, 06:55 PM | #27 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Fiji Posts: 169 | Also can your diagnostic unit read live values? Relay status? Injector Duty? Etc? Would be nice to know what the fuel pump relay is doing after prime up. | | | 11-21-2012, 07:06 PM | #28 | Member Join Date: Nov 2012 Location: Honolulu, Hi Posts: 53 | My obd1 scanner is just the peake fcx. My obd2 scanner will read live values but that won't help me here. I might be able to get some time tomorrow morning to play with the car, if I do I'll make a quick video. | | | 11-21-2012, 09:06 PM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Fiji Posts: 169 | If you wana cross check with my live values i made a video few minutes ago. http://youtu.be/T7858_37ktM BTW dont mind the noise i was mid way through pulling out my extractors need to get them redone today. That's one of the few times I'd rather have an OBDII car. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
