Auto or Manual is fine. Would be awesome if it's M-Tech but not required. Hopefully, someone has one they are willing to part with? | | | 10-17-2012, 03:03 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Posts: 1,364 | There is a cali top or two on autotrader right now. | | | 10-23-2012, 12:14 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Bend, Oregon Posts: 8 | Cali cars Checked into the Cali Cars on Autotrader. One was previously wrecked and had a swapped out speedo cluster from another car The other in Portland (close to my home) is horribly overpriced and when the shop looked it over - they figured it hadn't seen any maintenance in 100K miles. Oh welllllll the search continues. | | | 12-04-2012, 11:34 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2011 Location: Morristown/Waldwick, NJ Posts: 151 | I have one but I'm across the country from you . But, I'm in the middle of the Atlantic. Plus, it wouldn't be cheap; it's meticulously maintained. And the original owner was Ronnie Van Zant's daughter. __________________ Friends don't let friends call it "Beamer". Kinda kewl, the celebrity connection - too damn bad he died so early, but sometimes that's the way it is. | | | 12-06-2012, 08:13 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2010 Location: Severna Park, MD Posts: 126 | Melody. Several I have seen recently were quite overpriced, however. I can do the mechanicals along with the interior stuff. I would rather steer clear of the paint/body stuff, for my shop is not set up for that. Ideally, I would like to find a Cali-Top Car in Alpine White with Tan Interior. After that, I can always do the conversion to M-Tech body if absolutely necessary. The running gear is not a real issue with me, for I plan to utilize a 2005 E46 M3 running gear setup with the SMG. Quite the project, I realize, but it's these "Monster Garage" projects that keep me going..... The last one before my most recent, was an '85 Toyota HiLux pickup with the 4.4L (540i) engine and six speed trans. A nice little sleeper that appeared bone stock (almost - very subtle upgrades/cues) that would blow the doors off anything on the road. Most Recent project involved a 2006 X3 with full on German Police graphics and equipment, all the way down to the inth detail, including lighting/siren package and equipment inside as well (gun safe, computer, radios - the full meal deal). aka: "Polizei" | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
