Default 4.44 LSD small case

For sale is my 4.44 LSD with unknown miles. In great shape. I bought it used and "rebuilt" which is obviously wasn't because I had to re setup the diff. Now its perfect. Quiet as a mouse. I put about 5k miles on it. Backlash within spec (I dont remember the exact value but I used a dial indicator with .0005" resolution.)

Comes with extra bellville washers if you want to put more static lockup in it. NO ADDITIONAL MILES ARE BEING DRIVEN.

Asking $300. Shipping will be between 18 and 30 dollars depending where you are in the country.

please email me instead of replying or pm'ing me.

What RPMs are you running at highway speeds with this, if you even do?

I don't remember but it wasn't ridiculous. I drove it all the time on the highway without problems. But also I had an auto which is a 4.10 open from the factory. So a 4.44 isnt much more RPMs.

I have a 4.44 lsd. Offhand, highway RPMs between 3000 and 3500 and 70 and 80 mph.

3700rpm at 80 mph today, just to update. I drive hundreds of miles at time, 30+mpg always if that helps anyone.

how is that possible?

I am running 225/50/16 wheels

using this calculator: http://368s.com/tools/rpm

And these ratios as our stock getrag tranny:
Getrag 250
1st 4.23
2nd 2.52
3rd 1.66
4th 1.22
5th 1
reverse 4.04

It seems that at 70 you will be at 4202 rpms and at 80 4803 rpms!

I was just about to jump on this... if only my car wasnt a DD.

This is the reason.. auto's can take the higher geared diff because of the way the transmission is geared. 5spd's would be over 4000 rpm at least.
