my ac went out on my vw, and i suffered thru the summer months. it really wasn't that bad. i'm kinda a windows down person anyway. on the ti, how much wieght would be saved by removing the ac and would it have any negative effect on other systems?

I read somewhere it saves 30lbs. If it was 300lbs I would not remove living in the South. To me its is not worth removing, the worst problem would be the windows fogging up in wet weather.
