I have a 1997 318is with a DASC. The car has 171K on the motor and it is totally OEM and has never had the head off it. Power adders are 3.2" pulley on DASC, Snow meth system, Dinan spec bored TB, true 3" exhaust from header to tail pipe. Nick G stage 3 with some minor tweaks in firmware, Spec 9# billet flywheel, Spec stage 3 clutch kit, Beyer driveline, Anyone want to guess my 1/8th ET's before I get back tonight and post some video and time slips? 1/8 to 1/4 mile ET converter @ http://www.eldemoniorojo.com/calculator.htm | | | 10-30-2008, 03:35 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Europe Posts: 136 | you need to add how much boost you have you still have 16,7 psi? eheheh | | | 10-30-2008, 05:30 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Quote: Originally Posted by nuvolarossa you need to add how much boost you have you still have 16,7 psi? eheheh | Nope never got it over 14psi yesterday. I've only changed the exhaust to 3" and broke my recall boost gauge. I'm currently using a glow-shift boost gauge that only reads 9# of vacuum so I think the gauge or sendor is toast....It was free and is very low quality. I've either lost boost from opening up the exhaust, guage is bad or SC is going bad. Hope it's just the gauge | | | 10-30-2008, 05:46 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | The track was a disappointment. I broke the video tripod before I staged so no video of a worked WRX that beat me by .014 at ET 9.194 MPH 78.39. Second run I put the video recorder in the cup holder and spanked a Eclipe turbo by over 2 seconds ET 9.146 mph 78.15. Third I put the video recorder in my pocket which was perfect for gauges and windshield and forgot to turn it on....DOH!! I raced a nice Mustang Mach1 with drag radials. He pulled me hard off the line and I didn't catch him ET 9.143 mph 78.55. No good video. Car was throwing throttle position switch error and A/F was around 11.3 which is way rich. 105 pounds of gas and 100+ pounds of stereo equipment in the trunk. Tonight I went from a just broke into 13 seconds to a 14.27 second car almost 4 tenths slower. 60 foot times were real bad and had some fish-tail most of 1st gear. Only good thing was all reaction times between .134 and .162 Air temp was not cold enough 65F first run and 63F by last run. With no intercooler just 10 degrees drop in air temp nets good gains. Back to work to get it back in the 13's or anything under a 9 in the 1/8. | | | 10-30-2008, 07:11 PM | #5 | Moderator Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Maryland Posts: 3,220 | since no vids, someone bring the ban. Ha just kidding, good to know you had a safe day at the track. I rather see vids of that then some vids of kids on the highway. Ahh, oh well, streetfire here I come. | | | 10-30-2008, 11:23 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Quote: Originally Posted by BMW_Hatchback since no vids, someone bring the ban. Ahh, oh well, streetfire here I come. | I've got a video from the cup holder that shows the stick shift. I was totally bummed when I broke the tripod, the WRX run was great and I have no video of that or the Mustang run. I will get it right on my next track visit in a week or two. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
