It's very similar to the 318ti __________________ Come get a ti-shirt Quote: From the e30 M3, evolved the e36. After that... well nothing else really matters. ~Jess | | | | 06-04-2011, 08:30 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2009 Location: Maryland Posts: 265 | i wonder if my local bmw dealer would take an iou? __________________ Quote: Originally Posted by bubela I’m happy in my blissful ignorant euphoria! The Chevy Volt is an outstanding example of this (although, that was partially due to aerodynamics as well) and this car is no exception... looks clean, but the final design is very vanilla, IMO. | | | 06-04-2011, 05:47 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | Terrible looking car. The rest of the car, especially the dash, is about as generic as a frozen pizza. | | | 06-06-2011, 07:05 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Halethorpe, MD Posts: 1,028 | The front end of that thing is fugly. I guess they couldn't get the designers and the engineers to agree on something that meets the pedestrian impact rules and doesn't look like crap. Too Volvo for the rest of the car. | | | 06-07-2011, 04:54 PM | #11 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2011 Location: Minnesota Posts: 11 | It's not as ugly as the previous 1-series hatch, but that's not saying much. The stink of Bangle wil be around for awhile. It sounds like we have no reason to be concerned about it anyway (in the US), according to insideline.com: There currently are no plans to sell the redesigned 1 Series three- and five-door hatchbacks in the U.S. The next-generation 1 Series coupe and convertible are due in 2012 as 2013 models and will be marketed in the U.S. and Europe. | | | 06-07-2011, 05:20 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2010 Location: Montreal Posts: 283 | the front looks like a Kia trying to look like a Bimmer. I'd given it more of the new 5 series front. At least the grills.
