Default I am new

Hello, I am new to this community. I currently drive a 1997 318ti with a few mods. It is a fun daily driver. I have been building custom cars, and imports since the mid 90's and have owned a couple large automotive shops in Florida. I currently have absolutely nothing to do with the automotive industry (thank God). I am sure that I will be able to share some knowledge with others, as well as learn from this community as well

1997 318ti ( no sunroof (used to be automatic)
s52 3.2 swap
m3 transmission (5 speed swap)
custom aluminum intake
Custom high flow exhaust
Porsche (brembo) front brakes
m-coupe rear brakes
KW race coilovers
suspension techniques swaybars
BMW LTW wheels
full m-tech kit
carbon fiber front lip
and a whole crap load more

Hope to hear from you.

I bought it from a local shop. German Motorworks. They build racecars and race and rent them out all over the country. They are awesome. I love building cars, but as of lately havent even had the time to change my own oil. I used to make custom tubular manifolds, and turbo kits, but I just sold my welder. Life changes with kids

Nice! That was on ebay last year right? What did you end up paying for it? It was on for a while. Did not realize they relocated the battery which seems very complete. Did they add the secondary air pump where the battery used to be?

And what's up with the wheel studs?

Thanks for showing!

Very nice car indeed. I hope to one day be able to swap a s52 in mine. Once I get out of college and get a real job that pays some actual money. I like how you have the battery placed in the trunk. Looks very professional. Any pics of the interior?? What Porsche did you get your calipers from?

yeah, it was on ebay, he builds tons of 318ti swaps. The studs are longer so that we can run wheel spacers so the calipers would fit behind the wheels. It also has aluminum e30 m3 front controll arms. The car is really nice and totally complete, the secondary pump is where the battery goes, and the car has HID lights, a ton of things. As for the interior it is out of a 1998 318ti. Nothing fancy. Was really looking at a blower today for it. hmmmmm
