Just gave a rang to Geico.

Car is officially a total loss. There's absolutely no way I'm going to be able to swap out old parts for the current aftermarket parts in there. No word on the value yet.

RIP 10/20/08, Had it since May '07 This really sucks

I can't afford to buy it back & repair it, I just don't have the money & time to deal with it as of right now, especially being @ school and working. Don't know what my plans are for another car either.

Sorry to hear that.

Yeah, it's pretty hard to look both directions at the same time.

Airbag did not deploy?

Air bag did not deploy.

Value of the car was estimated @ ~$7,500 + ~$450 sales tax = ~$8,000. Less the $500 deductible and I get a check for ~$7,500. It still goes down as a loss in my book but at least I was able to recover more money than I thought I was going to. Bill of sale was $7,500, plus fees and what I've put into it, inconvenience of a car etc are the costs that are being weighed...

As for the parts in/on the car. It has a left, undamaged DEPO Projector w/ 55w 5k HID bulb & ballast. Alpine CDA-9884 HU. Bosal BroSpeed Exhaust. Bilstein Sport Struts/Shocks, H&R Sport Springs and finally an X-Brace.

As for the parts on the car, I have no way of swapping out the parts, or have the old parts to replace them with. I will try to get in contact with the adjuster later to see if I can find out what is going to happen, or what has happened to my car. That way either myself, or others can go pick at it.

As for my current car shopping, I really wouldn't mind an early model 325xi for the New England weather and people carrying. However a Sport 318ti would be pretty hard to pass up. I will probably still visit this site frequently and will always be a supporting member If you guys happen to find ti's, preferably sport in NE, let me know! Thanks

-Nick

The parts that you listed are they in the Ti or do you have them with you? If you sell the parts dibs on the x braxe and struts and springs. Well GL with your find. I would like to get 328xi for the winter months and keep the Ti stored.

Yes that's why I hate looking over my shoulder. I try to use my side mirrors instead but there's times that I really can't rely on them.

+1 on the side mirrors. I put bug eyes on mine so I can atleast try to keep an eye on where I'm going and the sides. Blind curve and an on-ramp makes for a sticky situation. Two days ago going by the same exact spot on the on-ramp with my buddy whom I'm carpooling with, we saw a 3 car accident. I'm sure it happens more, I'm just never there to see it.

As for the items, those are all still on the car, not in my possession.

I leave you guys with this.

Pick this car apart for me, I saw this and now I've been considering an M3/4.. uh ohhhh

Well that car is an automatic. So that would be my only beef with that car. Other than that it looks really clean. But I have to have a stick and nothing else, unless it is paddle shifting.
