I sprayed k&n filter oil on there. i didnt want dirt from the engine bay getting on it and sticking to the oil.

Running a 3.45 lsd from an e28 535is.... i feel like i could use a lil more gear though as the majority of my power band is between 5000-7000rpm. maybe could've held out for a 3.15 lsd.

nontheless i plan on boosting by january and im sure the 3.45 will end up being a better choice.

I'd recommend 3.25 or 3.19 gears along with swaps to keep it close to original gearing to get pretty decent MPG

3.73 FTW

top speed is a bit above 140, BUT she gets there fast.

Was thinking about changing to a 3.46 or so though maybe a 3.38 but i love the acceleration this gives.

Max Speed in each Gear MPH at Redline
Max Speed in 1st Gear 33.98
Max Speed in 2nd Gear 57.58
Max Speed in 3rd Gear 86.37
Max Speed in 4th Gear 115.63
Max Speed in 5th Gear 143.38

This is with a 7k redline. i try to shift around 6800 but its nice to be able to pull to those numbers with the aggressive gearing i have.

So i just checked the ratios that e28 535is came with and all i saw was 3.07, 3.15, 3.25, and 3.46. i don't know where the heck i got 3.45 from?? So ultimately, im not quite sure what im currently running. i'll have to get her in the air asap

What kind of issues did you run in with your driveshaft set up?
I currently have a 6 bolt M3 DS out of my M3 and it's not going to work on my project

this has been covered quite extensively on the site. Typically you want a 4 bolt drive unless you plan on running have a diff with a flange that matches. Other than that there should be no problems

Don't get me started on the driveshaft... like BMW HATCHBACK said, you want the four bolt rear half shaft. you CAN NOT use the drive shaft 95 m3. what i ended up doing was taking both my m3 shaft and my 318ti shaft to my local driveshaft shop and had them make one shaft from my two. utilizing the front half shaft from the m3 and the rear half shaft the ti.... works perfectly. otherwise you'll need a manual driveshaft from a late model e36 (to atleast get your 4 rear shaft bolt setup) but as far as your length i don't know, seeing as i didnt have to go that route.

hope that helps!
