So I'm 16 years old, I drive ALOT of people around and my car is simply too cramped, I can fit 6 other people MAX (dangerously). I'm also 5 feet 11 inches tall and I just can't find a comfortable position to set my seat. I just need something bigger. Should I sell my car, and if so for how much? Here are some specs and issues: Windows don't work Moonroof does work New headunit with aux input 151,000 miles sport package newer tires ac blows cold inside door panels are ghettorigged on with big screws all around front and back seats almost new 1998 alloy wheels clear corner lights black kidney grille Thanks for your help guys, and I've really enjoyed my car. | | | 06-13-2011, 02:41 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2010 Location: Southwest England Posts: 379 | six people in a ti? It's a wonder you still have a license, that would never fly over here. the ti is at its best with 0 passengers, even one adult in the front seat starts to spoil the experience IMO. I would consider a PX on a 7-seater/minivan. At least it's designed for that many passengers. You are basically responsible for their lives so you owe it to them to transport them in something meant for the job. As far as what to expect price-wise for your car, can't help there I'm afraid. The fact I'm hearing things like 'ghetto-rigged' doesn't bode well though! | | | 06-13-2011, 02:54 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2010 Location: Potomac Falls VA DMV Posts: 1,794 | I'm 16 and I never let more then one passenger in my ti. Ever. If I wanna transport them. I take another car in my family, (range rover, FX, escalade, ect.) all the big cars to transport safely and comfortably. I'm taking my back seats out anyway. Maybe you should do that to stop the temptation. Or find some friends that have jobs and cars of their own. Lots of very easy and cheap problems to take care of though. Like 100 bucks....tops. Windows are an easy fix, door panels can be bought used cheap here...Sunroof is probably cheap, but a PITA. Sounds like a nice project car for someone. __________________ No more ti. | | | 06-13-2011, 06:49 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | throw some pictures up. Also I can go look at this car for anyone who is interested. It does sound like a nice project car. __________________ | | | 06-13-2011, 10:23 PM | #6 | Moderator Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Maryland Posts: 3,220 | sell it. | | | 06-14-2011, 12:28 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | you could get a turbo Volvo V70, there's a fold down third row of seats in the back and you can make them pretty fast without too much work | | | 06-14-2011, 03:45 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Posts: 1,364 | As is in Kansas I'd feel good if I got $3500. | | | 06-14-2011, 10:20 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | 5'11" and can't find a comfortible position? Unless you tilt the seat back ricer/gangster style... I'd go for a 7 series if you can keep it running yourself... I remember Mercedes and Volvo used to make Station Wagons with a 3rd row of seats, back in the 80s/90s but I think the invention of the MPV put paid to those.
