The catback hangs a little low, I tried a mini hanger but it makes the exhaust pipe hit my subframe so I need to do some customizing there. My ti hit 190,000 yesterday. Gave it a present of a track day at Summit Point Shenandoah. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 04-23-2013, 04:32 PM | #2928 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2013 Location: New York Posts: 133 | Mtech That rear bumper does look great. It's nice to see another "Morea" ti on the forum. I was getting lonely on here... This past weekend, I finally installed my "ebay" lip. Looks pretty good to me and now I just need to have it sprayed and install the fog lights. | | | 04-23-2013, 11:17 PM | #2929 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Posts: 1,364 | I have a moreagrun 98 base model, and I love the color. Just curious.... | | | 04-25-2013, 07:31 PM | #2935 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: SF bay Posts: 183 | Quote: Originally Posted by Quickcars So, you replaced an aftermarket M3 bumper with an OEM bumper that looks exactly the same? Why bother? Just curious.... | The fake one was made out of a different plastic that was already getting torn up and ripped apart. mounting spots for the fogs where absolutely gone. the slide mounts for one side was missing too. The OEM bumper may have more miles, look a little but rougher, but the overall "mechanical" function of the bumper was in better shape. | | | 04-25-2013, 09:09 PM | #2936 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2013 Location: New York Posts: 133 | M3 That makes sense. I was just wondering because I know the OEM is a bit pricey and couldn't figure out (until your response) why anyone would spend more money for the "same look". I bought and installed an "ebay" lip and although is looks pretty good to me, I will probably invest in an aftermarket M-3 look bumper cover at some point. I'm not surprised that the OEM is a sturdier piece. Please post pics of it when you can. However its much much more brittle. the OEM is thicker, but made of a more flexable plastic. | | | 04-26-2013, 06:29 PM | #2940 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2013 Location: New York Posts: 133 | bumper which aftermarket manufacturer are we referring too? As you know, there are several makers offerings these M3 look a likes. Please share... The lip I'm using right now is polyurethane so I don't really have to worry about cracking, etc. But, I do plan on purchasing an M3 spoiler in the near future so it would be good to know which one to avoid.
