@shophat

I am in a similar situation and have the same types of question. How hard is it to get the instrument cluster and OBC working? Also how do you get around the EWS stuff?

For the transmission half, the zf transmission is a fairly simple drop in. You will use the 328 shift linkage, front half of the driveshaft, and transmission. For the motor aspect i am under the impression that it is, for the most part, plug-n-play.

There is a ton of info if you look around. You are lucky they both are 96, It makes it a much easier swap.

Huge truth in here. Look around, use the search tool you should find it fairly simply. You should have 100% success given you have the whole donor car. Details matter the most.
