I have the Stage I engine software on my car, and I heard the engine software is tuned to use their exhaust system | | | 08-10-2009, 12:22 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: tampa,fl Posts: 106 | dinan sucks,we have so many problems with them we stop selling there product, they wont stand behind there products!! good luck | | | 08-10-2009, 02:15 AM | #3 | Moderator Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Maryland Posts: 3,220 | their software is also tuned for their throttle body. You won't get much HP from any of these, but you can sure brag about having their expensive products. Their software is said to add around 4 horsepower? I wouldn't expect much from the rest of their setup. Maybe if you have their Intake, TB, Exhaust, and software. | | | 08-10-2009, 02:21 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: tampa,fl Posts: 106 | i would go with aa or something else.. | | | 08-10-2009, 02:28 AM | #5 | Moderator Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Maryland Posts: 3,220 | AA makes an exhaust for the ti? | | | 08-10-2009, 04:00 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: tampa,fl Posts: 106 | called them up and they will make it for you.my buddy is the head tech overthere | | | 07-02-2010, 05:36 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | didn't want to make a new thread about the Dinan exhaust, BUT does anyone have a picture of it. I'm looking to see how the exhaust tip looks like. I'm comparing it to the other models made for other E36's __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! I think it sounds pretty good with not too much noise inside or outside of the cabin. We have a daughter and it was a concern when shopping around to get a somewhat quiet exhaust. This one is not too loud but has a distinct exhaust note. I noticed a power increase as I drove the car out of the exhaust shop so there is a slight increase in HP. My wife and I were going to order a Remus exhaust to begin with since she has one on her 325 and it sounds great but they were back ordered or not available everywhere we looked so just ended up with Dinan. No complaints. __________________ 2005 Steel Blue 325ia: Upgrades/Mods: Lots. 1996 Alpine White: 318ti: Dinan Stage 1 Software. CosmoRacing CAI EVO 3.5". Dinan Free Flow exhaust. X-Brace.
