I have gone through the Knowledge Base and found only articles about removal of the door skin but nothing for the rear section. First off, I have a 316i Compact and there is NO rear speaker (not sure if other models have any but thought I'd mention it anyway) I can't see any screws holding it in place - am I correct ? It looks like I should remove the door rubber and start prizing off the panel ? The part I am unsure about is whether the part of the rear backrest in the corner needs to be removed and if so, how ? Many thanks Cormac (Dublin, Ireland) | | | 08-24-2009, 01:11 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | I would recommend removing both the rear lower seat section and the side bolster. The bolster has one plastic nut that has to be removed and you have to pop out the lower seat section to get at it. The panels do just pop off, but the glue holding the clips on is poor and you will most likely have to re-glue them. __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. Will probably epoxy JB Weld PlasticWeld the clips back on, and get new clips from http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/261018633881?lpid=82 | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
