Default 18inch with 225 and they rub!??

I just installed these wheels yesterday and I noticed they rub slightly on the plastic wheel arch to isolate splashing water. I cut those where needed and now they don't rub. theres a good finger clearence. But I'm thinking maybe it rubs slightly when break turning? Also, when the wheel is steered all the way it hits the inside wall..! My lowbeams did not work tonight.. I'm thinking it rubbed on the cable, but I don't know where exactly that cable is, so it might be just a coincidence.
Please any help will be so good! I never have good luck with wheels, and now I found my favorites and problems again!
