Front seats are worn and covered with slip on cloth covers. Driven by my daughter for the past two years. Recently replaced with an E90 (her dream car). She's away at college now and I needed her to have a car with a warranty, since it's too far for me to be able to go diagnose and repair it. Second owner (my neighbor is the original owner). Clean title. We're a BMW family through and through (currently 8 in the immediate family) and would rather this go to a good BMW home (and appreciates the rarity of a Ti) rather than sell on CL. The good: In the past two years (10k miles) we have replaced the following: Factory water pump Factory water valve Factory thermostat Factory radiator and expansion tank Factory front and rear brakes Brand new factory leather steering wheel with slip ring Factory Spark plugs Factory air filter Factory valve cover gasket Factory LCA bushings Trans service Diff service Complete set of Michelin Primacy MXV4's (205/60/15 on factory alloy wheels) Lowered on Vogtland springs with new struts, shocks, shock mounts, strut bearings, etc. Factory sunroof perimeter seal (no wind noise at freeway speed) Kenwood head unit with USB and aux Probably other stuff I've forgotten. The bad: Clear coat has sun spots on hood, and is showing its age in other places. Heater has low heat output. Originally I thought the water valve was bad, so replaced it, and it's better, but low heat output remains. It only gets to about 140 degrees. It hasn't been a problem for us since we live in Southern California. Happy to answer any and all questions. Will add photos soon. The headliner and a-pillar trims are currently out of the vehicle, but will be included if anyone wants to re-install them. With the new perimeter seal in the sunroof, it's really quiet on the freeway. My daughter thought it looked cool without the headliner in place as well, so I never really saw a need to re-install it. Here are a couple of photos as well. | | | 09-15-2014, 05:39 PM | #3 | Moderator Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Maryland Posts: 3,220 | 4 yards of foamed backed suede can be had for $80 just FYI to anyone interested in the car | | | 09-16-2014, 04:19 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Laguna Beach Posts: 357 | What price have you in mind? thanks | | | 09-16-2014, 05:16 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2012 Location: Ventura County California Posts: 6 | Sorry, forgot about that part. I'd like $2500. I've put way more into it than that in the past 2 years alone. The most recent repair was the factory leather steering wheel with new slip ring. I thought that replacing the steering wheel, which was very worn and the leather would come off on your hands, would renew my daughter's love for this car, but that was wishful thinking. She had made her mind up that she wanted a white E90. It pains me to even think about how much that cost me for a months worth of usage. Maybe I should re-install the original wheel and sell the new one separately? | | | 09-17-2014, 09:50 AM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2014 Location: Santa Barbara Posts: 2 | Hi Larry, I am located up in Santa Barbara and I would love to see the car. email me at colinkagel@gmail.com since I am too new to send PMs on this forum. If you have any photos of the sun spots or the state of the interior I would like to see them too. I'm currently working from dark to dark (5am - 7pm), so no opportunity to take pictures at home. Stay tuned... JenkinsKG - Ventura County is in Southern California between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. Unfortunately a bit of a drive from NY. It is still available however. Additionally, I noticed this morning while driving to work that I must need glasses. The actual mileage is 175,7xx, not the 173k I originally reported. Very sorry for the misinformation. | | | 09-18-2014, 09:29 PM | #10 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2012 Location: Ventura County California Posts: 6 | OK, here are some pictures of the interior as well as the sunspots on the hood. I recently replaced the radio surround where the AC dials are as well. Forgot about that until I was taking pictures, so took one of that and the radio too. | | | 09-18-2014, 09:30 PM | #11 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2012 Location: Ventura County California Posts: 6 | Here are a couple more that didn't fit in the last post. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
