I just had a customer bail on there 98 328i. Its got a shorted coil driver in the DME. It just melted the insides out of the coil! Customer wants 500 bucks for it. you think its a good deal? it has 176k on it and otherwise in good shape. Im pretty sure the front clip fits my 97ti. So is it worth it to buy and fix and sell or worth it to part out and do a swap on my ti this winter even though im sure i need a DME unit either way. Whats your opinion guys? | | | 08-05-2009, 09:44 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | i say buy it. Do the swap and fix the issue. You have everything you need for a swap. motor, tranny, and accessories. That would be a killer deal since some ppl pay 3 or 4 times that. If you don't do the swap project you can at least part it out and make some money off of it. Either way you can get something out of it. __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! You do not want to have to deal with fixing the old problems, while also retrofitting everything into the 318ti. Edit: For $500 I would definitely buy it. | | | 08-12-2009, 10:46 PM | #8 | Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: iowa Posts: 79 | oh i plan on geting it running first. it needs cats a computer and a coil.
