Bad Post-Sale Experience with Org Member... what can I do?

Anyone with common sense would know that every mechanical thing has a breaking point, it's only a matter of time. Anyone with common sense would know that used parts typically have wear and worn parts aren't as likely to last as long as new parts. If you went out and bought a new car, chances are it would last more than 100k miles. Now if you went out and bought a used car that already had 100k miles, it may break tomorrow, it may break next year. One thing for sure, it's definitely not going to last as long as a new car. Sure, a new car can certainly break, that's why dealerships offer 10 year 100k mile warranties. In your case, you test drove and bought a 14 year old car with a salvage title. Your fault, your problem, your business, deal with it like an adult. It's called common sense dude.

And who says an automatic transmission can't suddenly just go out or start acting up? You, the tranny expert? What credentials do you have to back up your claim? It sounds like you've been driving it in it's current condition "somedays the tranny is fine, some its not." Have you considered that perhaps your driving style/habits may have contributed to the problem? I'll tell you what someone with common sense would do, THEY'D STOP DRIVING IT UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS IDENTIFIED AND/OR FIXED.

As for your comment about insulting strangers, you accused those who dont support you of being the type of people who "likes to carry on in this deceiving manner with others or support that sort of buyer beware thing".

It would be real helpful if someone could just do a "Cliff Notes" on this thread for me.

Is there any documentation, threads or the original sellers ad on the car that we could see to support the claim of deception?
Was the seller ever notified and given the opportunity to explain their side of the story on this forum?

It would have been helpful to hear the sellers side of this ongoing monologue, but since not I think we are
beating a dead parrot on this one.

The weird thing is that the seller, M332ti, has a lot in common with me

- We both had three 318ti's

- We both live in SoCal

- Both doing S52 swaps

- He sold one of his Ti's(probably to help fund his swap project, I sold my ClubSport to fund mine)

- Neither of us think SNOWti is a victim, but a kid in denial who thinks "as-is" means "extended warranty"

- and oh yeah, we're both lying thieves



Seriously though, I'm curious to know if $2300 was the sellers asking price or if SNOWti talked him down to $2300.
