@everybody with questions to the engine

the M52B25 is almost the same as the M52B28, just some of the internals are different.

Alot of people think that the M52B25 is a detuned M50B25, what is wrong, the M50B25 is a completely different engine, starting with the fact that the M50 is made out of cast iron, the M52 is aluminum.

the M52 engines always tend to spread a little, some stock engines were dynoed with 186bhp.

@96cali

sure, I can provide you with some pics.....but I can already tell you that the 323ti has a different assembled trunk compared to the 4 cylinder modells.

the spare tire sits under the car

you will get pics tomorrow, its already getting dark out here ;-)

the spare is under the car of the 4-cyl. too, our batteries are under the hood though, and when we do the swaps to 6-cyl. engines the "correct" way to do it is to move the battery to the trunk, problem is that there's no good place to stick a battery

I'm in love with your car by the way

Agreed.
I haven't been on this forum as frequently as I would like to because I've been doubting the styling of the tis posted up here recently.
Sutobe, thanks for saving the forum! hahaha

If you look at realoem, the battery is in the front. Does anyone know for sure if a 323ti has it in the hatch?

Found an old thread on bf.c.
323ti from Spain has the battery in the trunk.
Unfortunately his photobucket pics are gone.

yes it's in the trunk, I made some pictures of it today, but they came out bad so I deleted them....have to take them again.

I use http://bmwfans.info/ instead of realoem.

Part Number 7 is the 323ti's trunk floor

http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E3..._housing_rear/

Number 5 is where the tools, jack stand and the battery go

I was stationed at Ramstein AB from 1993 till 1997. I lived in the town of Queidersbach, just up the hill from Landstuhl hospital.

At the time I had a 1985 Scirocco; used to love cruising on the autobahn with it.

I'm actually looking into getting a government job working at Ramstein AB as an electrical engineer. I miss living in Europe.

I know Queidersbach lol.......driving the Autobahn back in these days was awesome, now it's just annoying because everyone just pulls in your way without using the mirrors or blinkers, that just sucks!

people got ignorant.
