My passenger side popped out. The slider wasn't broken but I replaced then anyway. Slider kept on popping out. Then I read Jess' tutorial how to repair our windows.. I removed the window. Cleaned the hardened grease using brake cleaner. Got it nice and shiny. Lubed it up. Looking down into the door I can see how the arms are bent. I fiddled with the arms until they looked straight. Put it all back together. So far so good. I now need to fix the plastic standoffs on the panel so I'll leave the panel off the door for a week or so just to be sure the window is fixed. Thanks Jess! __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 06-30-2013, 02:47 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | I agree. He's sent me parts and helped me diagnose issues that weren't really worth his time, but he took the time to help me! Sorry I've been MIA lately, as James mentioned I'm a slave to "The Man" again While it's nice to finally get ahead financially, I'm itching to get the ti on the road soon. You guys are awesome, thanks for the kind words. | | | 07-05-2013, 04:38 PM | #12 | Moderator Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Maryland Posts: 3,220 | You deserve some time to do what you really love (building stuff and burning rubber).
