Very easy. You are only getting the O2 out of direct exhaust gas. I use a 90deg elbow that is threaded on one end for the O2 (female) and other end same thread but male. Screw in elbow to pipe and O2 into elbow. Now you O2 is out of the exhaust stream but still gets exhaust gas passing by it.
When it is out of the direct exhaust gas stream it reads a lower value and trick the DME into thinking the cat converter is working correctly.
You can use a straight pipe or anything that will fit you application. Your only goal is to get the O2 head that sticks in the exhaust pipe out of the pipe so it is not hit with direct exhaust stream gas. I think a spark plug saver for cars that foul plugs with oil works too. I have a few in the garage so let me look and see if they fit....
