damn.. what did you do? I dare say that with a ticket that expensive, you can claim hardship and make payments.

I don't know how they do things where your from but in Cali. the only way one single ticket fine could possibly amount to the fees you're describing is if you were a previous felon and are caught driving while intoxicated. Street racing is considered "reckless driving" and is only worth about $360 +2 points. Maybe I could see it being that much if you were... talking on your cell phone, smoking a blunt, drinking a beer, getting a B.J. from your girlfriend while going 85 in school zone with children present and 4 passengers in the back without seatbelts on. But only then...

85 in a 55 was the ticket, IIRC.

I had a 92 in a 65 once. $420 with a mandatory court appearance.

Coming back from VT, so I had to have a chuckle at that.

I've heard of speeding tickets over 1,000 in Georgia. 19 over is like 450$ ticket. Do it in the rain or in a construction zone and it is doubled.

I wouldn't know what the cost is for a ticket,i've never had a ticket for a moving violation.
