Exclamation 1995 M42 O2 Sensor?

Wondering if anyone with a 95 M42 manual transmission can tell me what O2 sensor they use?

I got a bosch 13231, (overpaid+$10) ...the plug is correct, however the cord is 2x as long as the original.
Anybody with a 95?

josh

Some books list the Auto and manual part numbers interchangeably....
I ended up taking the old one to the store and physically comparing them...

The Bosche units are repackaged by standard as well if you want
to save some coin. The actual prt numbers are stamped on the metal part...

I can see a number on the metal part....but i'll have to pull it to get the full digits.
what # sensor did you use? I'm sure your's is a manual ti...?

I got a 11 78 1 247 235 (retrieved frommy vin on realoem.com). Again the suppiler sent a 13231, which bavauto lists for the automatic at $71. The plug is correct, length is not even close-too long.

Bavauto lists 13 522 for the manual ti at $135--- what I thought I was getting for $83....
The plug in the picture looks a lot different...

anybody know the correct# O2 for their 95 m42 manual trans.?
It's a short length....with the turn plug.
(just not sure I want to tie up the extra length on this one...plus it may be wrong even though the plug is the same...?)

take the $50 or so u just saved, and buy a $2 bag of black zip ties. gather up the extra length cord, tie it neatly and with the rest of the money take your girlfriend out to dinner or buy a round of drinks.

I had the extra long cord when I replaced mine. Just zip tie it up there and enjoy.

I replaced my O2 sensor in October 2006 for my 95 318ti standard, using the same part number you listed. Sensor was purchased from Pelican Parts. I had to zip tie the cord to take up the slack, per the instructions in the box. No problems, no CEL.

My 95 has a manual tranny, the Auto part number doesn't work, I think its build date dependant but even though the plugs look identical, there is an internal key/slot thata prevents usingthe Auto sensor on my car...
