Either way though, i dont like my panel K&N and am looking for a new one, preferably cone shape cause ive been told you get better results with them. Any suggestions on what brand to get? and can anyone explain what "fogging" your airbox means and what results you get from it? | | | 08-08-2007, 01:21 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Lincoln Park Capitol Hill, Washington DC Posts: 741 | If you use the search thread, you will find plenty of worthwhile discussions on this topic. Since i have run it my gas millage has gone up +2 and during a nice damp cold night you REALLY feel the pull of the car. I was running on a short ram for a while and in city or in traffic the car felt slower than a crappy civic. With the fogging which only cost me under $25 i get a nice kick from around 3-redline =D __________________ Live Everyday As If Its Your Last A friend is someone who is willing to step into a flame to save you........aka a 318ti | | | 08-14-2007, 02:07 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: nj Posts: 316 | i use a cosmo and it runs nice, the sound of it is sportie and 100$ is not a bad deal | | | 08-14-2007, 04:06 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | Yeah i have a CAI cosmo as well. it has a nice sound to it and ive noticed a lil bit of hp, not much. no more than 5hp i'd say. but its still a nice set up to me. the cone K&N filter sits behind the fog light so gotta be careful whenever it rains for puddles. | | | 08-14-2007, 06:20 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Halethorpe, MD Posts: 1,028 | As Weezer, said this has been discussed to no end. My favorite is still the dual M42/M44 set up. Unless you know what you're looking for you would never know it's there, it's cheap, and the stock airbox actually does a good job of keeping the intake temps close to ambient when the car is moving. I've been very happy with this mod. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
