Is it a length issue or something else? I am going to be upgrading to calipers for vented discs, same diameter disc. Would that matter at all in this case? http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/ http://www.nexternal.com/uuc/?Target...&ProductID=295 Guess I'll give them a call in the morning to see what's up. ccp | | | 10-15-2007, 06:01 AM | #2 | Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Columbia MO Posts: 38 | Front are the same but rear are different. I believe rear are the same as an e30 There are lots of companies making them for the ti MAKE SURE THEY ARE DOT or TUV approved. Some companies make them but are more for show. You dont want the fittings to break when you really need them | | | 10-15-2007, 06:05 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Call UUC and they will send you a set of their brake lines that will fit your car. I'm running them on mine. | | | 10-15-2007, 02:23 PM | #4 | doesn't care about you. Really give you more control and a firmer pedal. They will be one of my next purchases | | | 10-17-2007, 01:35 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | I installed this set, it has 6 lines. Two for the front, four in the rear. He sold me my UUC brake kit that included their SS brake line kit. | | | 11-18-2007, 05:19 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: SFO,Ca. Posts: 103 | How easy was the install ? I did it on my WRX and that was pretty easy but seeing that the Bimmer has 6-lines, sounds like more work ? The front lines are pretty simple. In the rear on the Ti I was able to change all 4 lines by just jacking up the car and removing the tires. I did not have to take anything else off of the car but in some cases it was a tight squeeze working on the two inner lines. If you are doing the lines I'd also do the clutch line at the same time if you have a manual. | | | 11-23-2007, 01:09 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: SFO,Ca. They simply assumed that the 318ti rear lines were different due to the E30 rear. However, if you check the part numbers, all E36s use the same rear lines. They're still saying that their flywheels only fit 6-cylinder models too, which also isn't accurate. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
