I will be posting pictures and even a walk-around vid next week when I get home. It is silver with the M body kit and has 114 thousand miles. I bought it with 60k and I can say it has always been adult owned and driven. The first owner was a BMW tuner and had exhaust and engine work done. it runs very strong and drives like a dream. I am not sure what the exact mods are but I would allow a buyer a complete check-up and provide pictures of anything. I drive 3-4 hundred miles a week on the highway for work. It was my first American spec BMW and I hate to sell but I lost my Christmas bonus and am left with little choice. I am going to let it go very cheap. It has new Kuhmo all seasons and M rims with 5-6 k on them. Winter rims and tires with 3-4 k, and the stock rims with some old tires. clutch is strong and anything mechanical has always been fixed prompty. in the last 3-4 years I have replaced the starter, driver side window motor, left front wheel bearing and tie rod, and a tie rod on the other side. I have spare belts and hoses that are brand new. Wipers have not seen rain. other than short drives here and there it hasn't seen much use in the last year or so. It gets great mileage and is a very sharp car. I thought i would try here first to get her a good owner before I sell it to a teenage kid that just wants a BMW so he can act like he is in a music video. | | | 12-10-2007, 03:34 AM | #2 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | manual/automatic, price? Price is dependent on how easy the sale is to complete and how soon. The car is in my parents garage now as I bought a Mazdaspeed 6 a few months back. If someone can pick it up in Canton I would consider pulling some of the audio items many may not want or need and throw it on ebay seperatly.. I really want to sell for some xmas money though. | | | 12-10-2007, 03:43 AM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: ohio Posts: 21 | here is a second pic. | | | 12-10-2007, 03:45 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Car looks dropped. I did not drop it though and cannot confirm what was used. I will take several pictures however and possibly you can you can see what was done. Before I bought the car I took it to Cain BMW for a check up and they told me it was the cleanest 97 they had seen. this was in 2003. nothing has been done sense other than a-lot of highway miles. it has never been tracked to my knowledge and drives tighter than my new mazdaspeed 6. | | | 12-10-2007, 03:57 AM | #9 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: ohio Posts: 21 | I can count the times it has been driven in snow on my hands. It has been garaged for most if not all of its life. I did not personally know the guy that had it before me. That is one reason I took it to a dealer before I bought it. He (second owner) gave me all the receipts including the original sticker from the first owner also when I bought it. I have not kept every receipt as I thought i was going to have it indefinitely but all service has been done locally and records are in the computer. I would bet they would print them for me. | | | 12-10-2007, 04:01 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Richmond Hill, GA Posts: 1,231 | what's your asking price? | | | 12-10-2007, 04:05 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Too bad thats about 4-6k above my price range.lol Good luck with the sale. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 12-10-2007, 04:07 AM | #12 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: ohio Posts: 21 | will list it locally for 7k and see if there is any interest.
