Wow, I've actually been thinking about doing that exact same thing and wondered if it would make any difference. LOL I really wish you had a photo of it half-purple and half-black.

How many containers of the spray did you use?

Hmmm... I don't have to work tomorrow and need to do something useful to the car. heh heh

Good job on it! Now I wonder why the ti still doesn't have the rear euro tail lights yet.

Then why all the new BMWs are using the red clear EURO tail lights??? Live in the present and not the past my friend. it's a nice touch to our beloved ti. Let's not ask Bozola what color is his 1 series rear lights!

FWIW I did the same thing, but used a duplicolor interior spray paint. I guess it's essentially the same stuff, but going from the pictures mine turned out way darker. Its basically fabric spray paint

I'm gonna have to try this on my new acquisition since it is gray and I need it black...guess I could do it with the trunk carpet too.

Now that I've sprayed mine, I forgot to ask something. LOL Once it's dry, is it still soft to the touch?

In the attached photo, "before" is on the left, and "after" is on right. The "after" portion is about 1/2 can worth of spray. I finished that can and then went over all of it with about 1/2 of the second can. Once it's dry, I'll look at it in sunlight and see if it needs more.

The stuff I used was still fabric feeling. I think it's more of a dye than a spraypaint

Confirmed. I used the exact same stuff that Bozola used and now that mine is dry, it still feels soft and fuzzy.
