Default alarm cross connected

Something weird just cropped up -- when the right turn signal flashes the alarm horn beeps, and when setting the alarm the right turn signal lights flash. So I pulled the plug on the alarm horn while troubleshooting.

So far all I've checked is the wiring harness where the lights and alarm horn come together behind the right headlight, and also where the left headlight wires branch off. Untaped them, checked the wires for chafing, found none and retaped. Where else should I look? unwrap the whole wire harness?
Or is this a sign of some body control computer failure?

If its a factory alarm, (Alpine). It could be internal in the alarm. ( a bad diode) When you set the alarm. Alarm chirps, and lights flash. When you put turn signal on, it allows the current to travel back through to the horn. Where the diode would stop the current from traveling that direction.

Try replacing the bulb...The parking light and directional could be two seperate filaments (dual filament bulb)...one could be broken and shorting to the other...

It's the factory alarm in a '95 -- looking at various wiring diagrams in Bentley leads me to think it's the Alpine with a separate little horn.
Until now, setting the alarm would chirp the alarm horn without flashing the lights. I don't think I just didn't notice the lights before.

But I'll try the turn signal bulb and see what happens.

I've got that style on my 96. I turned the chirp off, it doesn't flash the lights. I'm wondering if the lights are also setting. I need to pull the unit out again and look.
