Default "For Sale" section on home page

I've noticed since changes were made to the "For Sale" section that new/updated items no longer cycle through on the "For Sale" area of the home page. I miss the convenience of that. I like to see what's new or updated without having to dig for it.

I think it's good exposure for people trying to sell items to have everything updated appear on the homepage like it used to. I know everyone has their own way of finding stuff, but it's a lot less work and more efficient for sellers and prospective buyers alike IMO. I've just been used to seeing it that way on this site and it was beneficial to me, maybe others.

Give me a couple days. I could either add them back or create another section on the homepage.

How is that?
I added more for sale sections, reduced the number for news. I don't use it that often anyway. Also added more lines for for sale.

A few extra lines is good, but that's not the issue. The issue is that it's no longer cycling in data from the sub-section to the home page Sale section. If you look, all the current stuff is UK data. In figure A, represented on the home page, the last US/North American entry was on 1-27-12, which is when the "For Sale" section last had adjustments I believe.

There have been lots of sales threads posted or commented on since then with the most recent being listed or commented on today in the first two categories in figure-B

(figure A)

(figure B)

So... it's not how many lines you open up, it's the absence of current data being reflected on the home page.

It's in chronological order, not last post.

I don't know what else to say. I just miss how it was functioning before the changes were made. The only way I've seen current entries since the changes were made is through the "Recent Treads" on the left side if I catch it, through the "New Post's" tab, or going into the sale sub-section itself.

I must be the only one that looks at this feature

Let me add dates and see if I can figure out what is going on. I don't think anything has changed.

I figured it out.
I was editing the wrong part of the mod that is used for the home page.
I never deleted an old version and that was what I was updating and that is why some things changed and others didn't.

I don't like that the cars for sale get buried.
I'm going to see if I can create another for sale section just for cars.
