Key Emergency

My key is stuck in the ignition. It will turn off the battery but not come out. I am sitting here trying to be able to lock my car while at work... Any suggestions besides driving to the dealer?

It came out. Don't know how, but it came out.....

Is it an automatic? Did you have it in Drive? I've had the key spin all the way around before when the steering where was out of it's lock or misaligned in the steering lock.

It is an automatic. I ran it through the gears and put it back in park before I posted. I did it a few more times, each time checking the key. It would only turn half of the way into the OFF position. Finally, it just came out. No idea. Maybe the sensor that tells the car that it is in park was/is messed up?
