Dig the custom, high-flow intake.

I would be really worried about loose pieces getting ingested by the engine when that happened...

Its about the going rate for my part of the country but not with the cracked intake that's going to be a 200 dollar adder at least to replace...

I paid a lot less for mine with almost same setup and in mint condition. The only advantage is that you have all matching parts if that matters. I am sure you can beat up the guy on the price.

Sorry to dig this back up, but I'm curious -- what is a good price on a full S52 swap (Engine, DME, EWS, harness, etc)? I recently bought my ti and, while I'm happy with the performance so far, with another 100hp this car would be astronomical fun. My intent would be to locally acquire a M3 for parts, or purchase a complete swap, and DIY it in my garage (with the help of J!m's book of course) so the cost of the parts is the key to deciding whether to purchase a totaled car at auction vs. engine and electricals.
