Sound the muts nuts as well What'd yall reacon? If anyone fancies having a go at building one for themselves here's the tutorial that inspired me. http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?t=76606 My box differs a little as I built the baffle out of fibreglass to give it a bit more volume. | | | 09-13-2005, 03:26 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Virginia Posts: 247 | Damn! That is pretty darn cool. I have dual 12" Rockfords in a bandpass box...but it takes up pretty much the whole trunk...I may look into that as an alternative. Nice work! __________________ Silver 98 318ti Standard trans, Sport Package: 16" Stock Wheels, Foglamps, Sunroof, Heated Leather Seats, Bilstein performance shocks, OEM Sach's clutch kit, Dunlop SP Sport A2 225/50/16 tires, Alpine CDA 7894, Dual Rockford Fosgate 12" subs, Rockford Fosgate Amp, Leather Armrest, Replaced M44 engine with only 40k on it! http://www.geocities.com/evalha/bmwsmaller.JPG | | | 09-13-2005, 03:35 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Very clean. I got a small drop of resin on my bumper & there's no way it'll come off. The carpets not a perfect match although it looks ok, it's just standard black 'sub-box' carpet I got off ebay for a few quid. Here's a good site that shows how you get the contoured frount baffle shape using fleece stretched over an mdf ring: http://web.njit.edu/%7Ecas1383/proj/main/ | | | 09-15-2005, 04:41 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Virginia Posts: 247 | How did you attach your amps to your seats?? I'm into sound quality not SPL/streetbass. One thing I have done since, is fit some sub ports in the parcel shelf to let some of that sweet bass into the cabin. | | | 02-06-2006, 01:26 PM | #14 | Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Newcastle, England Posts: 71 | I build enclosures on both sides just for my amps. Removed the spare wheel and build a sub box under there and fliped the sub over (so can see the chrome) and centered it in the boot! shop quote: £400 DIY Price: £35 plus 2 days labour can you believe that!!!!!!! | | | 02-06-2006, 01:52 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: England, UK Posts: 1,288 | how much would you charge to build one like your again halek? __________________ 1995 BMW 316i Cosmos Black Mods: Magnex Cat-Back Exhaust Smoked Corner Lights + Repeators M3 17" Wheels De-Baffled Air Box AC HandBrake Handle and Gear Knob DEPO Euro Epsiloids + Predator Chronium Rings Chrome Interior bits IE Poly-Urethane RSFMs Kenwood Power Series Audio Powder Coated e36 325 Front Callipers Sports Seats | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
