It was all covered in road grime and looked like it had not been cleaned in months, anyway the car looked ordinary, I told my Girl when I gave Her the TI that what seperates the cool cars from the uncool is how clean it is, unclean = not cool, clean shiny and sparkleing = cool. Your car aint Cool If The Chrome Dont Shine! How anal are my felow TIers, how clean and how often do you clean your cars? Oops I guess I double posted , Admin please delete thread __________________ 96 Jet Black California Package | | | 12-31-2005, 07:03 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Long Beach area Posts: 1,189 | Quote: Originally Posted by Gunnails Saw another TI on the road yesterday (my first sighting since we got ours), it was purple. I noticed the same thing when i saw a car JUST LIKE MINE...except is was SUPER DIRTY. My friends and my brother were telling me that mine looks so much better just because its so much cleaner. ... Let me fix that quote..."Your car aint Cool If The GLOSS don't Shine! hehe... Sorry...I'm anti Chrome on my car. Let's see...I'm really anal about my car. I try to keep ALL the swirl marks off my car. (Especially since it's black.) and...I try to wash it every week. Wax every month. -Randy __________________ 97 Jet Black 318ti Sport. I clean my car whenever I have time. When I'm not at work, school, using the bathroom, eating, sleeping, or on the computer; I'm working on the car. Usually once every 2 days. I'm always detailing something. Just yesterday, I thoroughly cleaned out the grill with a turtle wax scratch remover. It's now glowing! __________________ Come get a ti-shirt Quote: From the e30 M3, evolved the e36. Wax when it needs it, strip & detail at least once a year. When I was younger (and only had one vehicle) it was pretty much every weekend to wash, and wax every other. I'll always make time for maintenance stuff (oil changes, etc) though. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 01-08-2009, 06:22 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | You're welcome to come to NY and wash my car, it's dirty as hell. I hate it when I wash it and then it rains like a day or two later. So when the sun will be shining for a few days I will wash it. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 01-08-2009, 07:49 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Rensselaer, NY Posts: 254 | In the winter I like to wash it at least every 2 weeks to get the salt off. In the summer I wash it whenever it's dirty and a nice enough day to wash. Unfortunately my car still isn't cool. =( __________________ | | | 01-09-2009, 06:52 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | Quote: Originally Posted by L84THSKY You're welcome to come to NY and wash my car, it's dirty as hell.
