I'm lookin at purchasing a ti and I plan on doing some work to it. I was just wondering if the engine pulls out from the top or drops out of the bottom to swap out the engines. Also about what is the price for a plain jane regular 318ti motor? Thanks in advance! | | | 01-18-2006, 04:12 AM | #2 | Moderator Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Bouncing off the rev limiter in CT! I have a complete excellent condition engine available for $1200 if interested. PM me if interested... | | | 01-18-2006, 05:14 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2004 Location: Tracy, California Posts: 473 | Top is the answer As J!M stated, top is the answer. There are two motor mounts at the bottom of the engine. Good luck! __________________ 1989 E30 325is 5s Coupe Zinnoberrot 1991 E30 325i Auto Coupe Schwartz 1991 E30 325is 5s Coupe Hellrot 1995 318ti E36 Alpine White III DASC (RIP) 1996 328i 4Dr Artic Silver (RIP) 1999 M3 Estoril Blue Metallic RMS Vortech SC 2001 325i E46 Alpine White - Sports Package (SOLD) 2005 E46 M3 Coupe SMG | | | 01-19-2006, 01:36 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Portland, Oregon Posts: 484 | Quote: Originally Posted by J!m The motor and tranny will come out the top as an assembly, or the motor alone will come out the top.
